Wedding of Mary and Jimmy - June 27, 2009

Mary and Jimmy are one of the cutest, sweetest couples. I really enjoyed helping them plan and coordinate their simple, yet elegant wedding.

Part of the ceremony was performed by Mary’s father, a pastor. That was a special moment as he lead them through their vows, exchange of rings and pronounced them man and wife.

Their color scheme was sage and yellow. I rented ivory linens with a seamist (close color to sage) overlay for some of the food tables as well as the cake table.

Mary and Jimmy do not like cake so they had a two-layer cheesecake displayed on my silver cake stand as their cake to cut and feed each other. Guests received slices of sheet cakes.

Mary’s grandfather and friends cooked and prepared all the food for the luncheon buffet. You would never know it wasn’t from a professional caterer. Their pre-reception consisted of delicious, and I mean absolutely delicious, meatballs, cheese and crackers and fruit trays. The luncheon buffet had a carving station of beef along with grilled chicken, seasoned rice, salad, and rolls.

Photography was done by Lydia Jane Photography as well as her second shooter, Kristen Leigh Photography. I can’t wait to see the photos. Mine, do not do them justice, I’m sure.

They are now enjoying their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.
